Inter-district Thang-Ta tournament begins in Kathua

Kathua, Jan 21: The Department of Youth Services and Sports on Wednesday inaugurated the Inter-District UT-Level Thang-Ta Tournament at the Indoor Sports Stadium here, bringing together young girl athletes from 15 districts across Jammu and Kashmir to showcase the traditional martial art.

The tournament, as per DYSS statement, is being organised under the directions of the Director General, Youth Services and Sports, J&K UT, Anuradha Gupta, JKAS, and under the able guidance of the Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, Vinakshi Koul, JKAS.

The competition is being conducted in the discipline of Thang-Ta for all age-group girls. Young and enthusiastic athletes from 15 districts across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the tournament, showcasing their talent, discipline, and martial arts skills.
