Inter Block District Level: Rajouri beat Budhal by 54 runs in U-19 cricket tournament

Rajouri, Feb 20: The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, District Rajouri, successfully organised another thrilling fixture under the Youth Engagement Programme 2026. In a spirited contest, Block Rajouri defeated Block Budhal by 54 runs, showcasing the talent and determination of young cricketers in the region.

Batting first, Block Rajouri, as per DYSS statement issued on Friday, set a formidable total of 161 runs for the loss of four wickets. The innings was anchored by an outstanding performance from Hassan Iqbal, who scored a commanding 88 runs and led his team from the front. His innings not only provided momentum but also set the tone for Rajouri’s victory.

In response, Block Budhal displayed resilience but could only reach 106 runs for three wickets, falling short of the target. With his match-winning knock, Hassan Iqbal was declared Player of the Match, earning recognition for his exceptional contribution to Rajouri’s triumph.
