Intelligent Traffic Management System | TAC to vet Request for Proposal for selection of System Integrator

Jammu, Nov 14: J&K government Tuesday constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the project “Selection of System Integrator (SI) for design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) in the Union Territory.”

As per GAD order, the committee has been constituted in terms of S.0 227 dated July 9, 2021 of the Finance Department for Integrated Traffic Management System.

The technical panel will comprise Mohammad Saleem Khan, State Informatics Officer, NIC, J&K as chairman while Shameem Khan, in-charge Director, NIELET; a representative of IIT, Jammu (to be nominated by Director, IIT Jammu); a representative of University of Jammu (to be nominated by the Head of the Department of Computer Sciences and Information Technology) will be its members.

As per the terms of references, the committee will provide technical vetting of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and give recommendations regarding the provisions proposed in RFP.

It will also give its recommendations or suggestions on the viability of the proposed solutions in the RFP.

“The Committee shall ensure strict compliance to all rules, procedures and guidelines issued by the government from time to time while vetting the RFP,” the order read.
