Rajouri, Jan 4: Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today conducted a comprehensive inspection of Government Medical College(GMC) Rajouri, where he assessed the health care facilities and infrastructure. During the visit, he inspected the staff quarters and the Girls hostel block and addressed the major issues.
One of the primary concerns was the need for the completion of the road leading to the girls hostel block. Recognizing the importance of safe and accessible transportation for the students, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal instructed the Executive Engineer of the PWD to initiate the necessary measures for its early completion.
The Deputy Commissioner observed the need for proper drainage facilities in the girls hostel block. To address this issue, the Executive Engineer of the PWD informed the Deputy Commissioner that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) outlining the proposed drainage system had already been submitted to the concerned authorities.
Another matter discussed during the visit was the construction of a boundary wall around the premises of the GMC Rajouri. Recognising the significance of the boundary wall, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal directed the concerned authorities to undertake the construction of the boundary wall promptly. This measure aims to enhance the safety and well-being of the students, staff, and other individuals within the GMC premises.
The DC highlighted the need to address the issue of shifting staff in the staff quarters. He directed the officers to ensure the provision of all necessary civic amenities to facilitate the smooth functioning of the quarters. This includes the provision of water supply and other essential services.
