Baramulla, Sep 24: The second inspection of expenditure registers of the contesting candidates of all the seven Assembly constituencies of Baramulla district was conducted at Dak Bungalow Baramulla under the supervision of Sidlingappa Teli and Amit Dahiya, Expenditure Observers for the Assembly Constituencies of District Baramulla.

The Nodal Officer for district expenditure monitoring cell along with all the 07 Assistant Expenditure Observers and their teams were present in the meeting.

All 101 candidates were notified to submit their expenditure registers for inspection by the District Election Officer Baramulla. Out of 101 candidates only 73 candidates attended the second inspection meeting and submitted expenditure registers for inspection.

The candidates were advised to include all the election related expenditure in their registers and also the expenditure noted by the AEOs in their register was cross verified and candidates were advised to maintain their registers/ records as per ECI guidelines.

The 28 candidates who neither appeared for the meeting nor produced their registers for inspection, their names were forwarded to the concerned Returning Officers for issuance of Show Cause Notices for noncompliance and for further action in the matter as per norms.

Next date of inspection is fixed on 28.09.2024 and all the candidates are requested to produce their complete expenditure statement register along with all documentary proof before the inspection committee for inspection. The final reconciliation of expenditure incurred by each contesting candidate will be conducted after polling.
