INS Chilka hosts passing out parade of Indian Navy’s 02/25 Batch
New Delhi, Jan 9: The Passing Out Parade of the Indian Navy’s 02/25 batch was held at INS Chilka on January 8, marking the completion of 16 weeks of ab-initio training. A total of 2,172 trainees passed out in a post-sunset ceremonial parade, including 2,103 Agniveers, among them 113 women, along with SSR medical assistants, sports entry personnel of the Navy and Naviks of the Indian Coast Guard.
Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, reviewed the parade and awarded medals and trophies to meritorious trainees.
Addressing the gathering, he congratulated the batch and urged them to uphold the Navy’s core values of Duty, Honour and Courage. The ceremony also highlighted the Navy’s commitment to inclusivity, with women Agniveers marching alongside their male counterparts.
