Innovative minds converge at IDE Bootcamp finale

Srinagar, May 3:  A five-day "Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp (Phase III)," organised by AICTE and the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, culminated on May 3, with an impressive valedictory function. Mementos and certificates were distributed among guests, expert speakers, and participants.

Prof (Dr) MA Shah, Head of the Physics Department at NIT Srinagar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Elangovan Kariappan, Assistant Innovation Director at the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, was the Guest of Honor. Senior functionaries and HODs of the College were also present.

Preceding the function, a team of experts from NIT Srinagar, MSME, the University of Kashmir, and the Wadhwani Foundation evaluated thirteen innovative ideas pitched by student groups from across the country. The esteemed panel included Dr Saad Parvez, Dr. Ishtiyaq Hussain Qureshi, Dr Danish Ahmad, Dr Irfana Rasheed, Dr Tariq Ahmad Lone, Bilal Ahmad Khan, and Saheel Allaqband.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Prof. Shah, commended SSM College of Engineering for their exceptional arrangements as the Nodal Centre for the IDE Bootcamp Phase-III. He emphasized the necessity of conducting such events frequently to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
