Srinagar, Aug 25: Kris Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Indian tech giant Infosys, visited Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir for a two-day Inter-university Academic Brainstorming session.

Gopalakrishnan, a Padma Bhushan recipient and former president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), praised SKUAST Kashmir's technological advancements and innovation. He remarked that the university's approach was ahead of contemporary India, setting an exemplary standard for national progress.

During his plenary talk on "IT Development and Exports – The Next Opportunities," Gopalakrishnan highlighted the vast potential in India's IT sector for revenue expansion and job creation. He stressed the importance of education, training, and skill development, and discussed the Indian Startup Ecosystem, currently the world's third-largest.
