Infiltration attempt thwarted along IB in Jammu: BSF

Srinagar, Sep 22: Border Security Force (BSF) Sunday said it thwarted an infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in RS Pura of Jammu.

"In the intervening night of September 21-22, 2024, BSF troops noticed suspicious movement, where an intruder was observed approaching the BSF fence in the RS Pura border area. The alert troops thwarted the infiltration attempt," read an official communique from the BSF.

BSF said they recovered a cache of arms including, an AK-47 rifle two AK magazines, 17 rounds of AK-47, two pistols, four magazines and 20 rounds of 9 mm ammunition during the search operation in the morning, news agency KNO reported.
