Srinagar, May 08: Authorities on Thursday said that educational institutions in Kashmir parts will remain closed on May 9 and 10 in view of ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan.

They said the move has been taken as a precautionary measure for the safety and wellbeing of students and teaching staff.
“All Government and Private Schools of Baramulla, Kupwara, Sub-Division (Gurez) and schools falling in the proximity of Srinagar and Awantipora Airport shall remain closed on 9th and 10th of May 2025 as precautionary measures,” said Director School Education Kashmir.
