New Delhi, Oct 20: The Indian Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman conducted the bilateral maritime exercise Naseem Al Bahr off Goa from October 13 to 18.

The exercise featured INS Trikand, a Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft, and Oman’s RNOV Al Seeb, with activities in both harbour and sea phases.

During the sea phase, the navies practised various drills including gun firings, anti-aircraft manoeuvres, and Replenishment at Sea Approaches. The exercise enhanced interoperability and strengthened naval ties, reaffirming India’s commitment to collaboration in the Indian Ocean Region.

A press release from the defence ministry said, “The exercise was a resounding success, achieving its aims of enhancing interoperability, fostering mutual understanding, and strengthening cohesion between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman.”
