Indian Institute of Architects commemorate achievements of women in architecture
Srinagar, Mar 9: The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Srinagar centre, organised an event to celebrate remarkable achievements of women in architecture.
The organisers said the event brought together a diverse group of professionals, including architects, engineers, members of the business community, journalists, and radio personalities, to recognize and honour the significant contributions of women in shaping the architectural landscape.
The highlight of the event was engaging panel discussions featuring esteemed panellists Ar. Ghulam Hassan Mir, Joint Commissioner Planning, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
Ar. Bilkis Jeelani, Town Planner, Town Planning Organisation, J&K, Ar. Fatima Bano, retired Town Planner, Ar. Farhat Deeba, Principal Architect at Dezine Spectrum. Iqra Akhoon, journalist, Ar. Asma Nisar, Principal Architect at ANB Architecture Studio.
The panelists shared valuable insights and experiences on the topic, “CHALLENGES AND TRIUMPHS: STORIES OF RESILIENCE FROM WOMEN ARCHITECTS.” The panel discussion was moderated by RJ Nasir, a Radio Jockey.
