Indian army SSC 66 technical entry recruitment 2025 opens: 381 seats for engineering graduates
Srinagar, Aug 20: The Indian Army has launched the application process for its 66th Short Service Commission (Technical) Entry, offering a prestigious gateway for engineering graduates to enter the armed forces as commissioned officers. Training is scheduled to begin in April 2026 at the Officers Training Academy (OTA).
Vacancy Breakdown & Eligibility
A total of 381 vacancies are available:
350 for men, 29 for women, and additional reserved posts for widows of defence personnel (tech and non-tech)
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 27 years as of April 1, 2026. For widows of defence personnel applying under the SSCW (Tech or Non-Tech) category, the maximum age limit is 35 years.

SSC Tech Men (66th Entry): August 22, 2025 (3:00 PM)
Eligibility
Qualification: Engineering degree in the relevant discipline.
Age Limit: 20 to 27 years (as on the specified cut-off date).

Selection Process
There is no written examination for SSC Tech Entry. Selection will be conducted in three stages:
Shortlisting of applications based on academic performance.
SSB Interview - a five-day assessment of leadership and analytical skills.
Medical Examination - candidates must meet prescribed medical and physical standards
Candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants with a pay scale of Rs 56,100 - Rs 1,77,500 (Level 10).
