India, Venezuela hold 5th Foreign Office consultations
New Delhi, Nov 26: New Delhi and Caracas reaffirmed their commitment to deepen bilateral ties during the 5th India–Venezuela Foreign Office Consultations, held on Wednesday.
The talks were co-chaired by P Kumaran, Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs, and Ms. Tatiana Josefina Pugh Moreno, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.
Both sides agreed to expand cooperation in key sectors such as trade, health and pharmaceuticals, digital technology, agriculture, development partnership, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. They also emphasized strengthening collaboration in multilateral forums of mutual interest.
The delegations exchanged views on regional and global developments and decided to maintain close coordination in international fora, further advancing the India–Venezuela partnership. It was also agreed that the next round of consultations will be held in Caracas at a mutually convenient date.
