India-Singapore joint military exercise begins in Jodhpur
New Delhi, Jul 27: The 14th edition of the India–Singapore joint military exercise, Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025, commenced today in Jodhpur and will continue until August 4. The annual exercise aims to enhance defence cooperation and interoperability between the two nations' armed forces. This year’s edition features participation from the Indian Army’s Mechanised Infantry Regiment and the 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade.
The exercise will be conducted as a Table Top Exercise and Computer-Based Wargame, focusing on operational procedures in mechanised warfare scenarios. The exercise will conclude with an equipment display by the Indian Army.
Senior military officials from both sides attended the opening ceremony. Colonel Arjun Ganapathi is leading the Indian contingent, while Lieutenant Colonel Khiew Zhi Yoong heads the Singaporean delegation. Brigadier Pritam, Commander of the 340 (I) Mechanised Brigade, and Colonel Wong Zeng Yu, Commander of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade, were present as chief guests. A ceremonial handover of the Regimental Flag from the Singapore contingent to the Indian side marked the formal transfer of command for the duration of the exercise. Exercise Bold Kurukshetra continues to serve as a key platform to strengthen bilateral military ties and promote joint operational readiness under the United Nations framework.
