New Delhi, Oct 3: The Indian government has strongly rejected the latest report from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), which criticised the country’s record on religious freedoms. Responding to media queries regarding the report, the Official Spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, dismissed the allegations as biased and politically motivated.

“Our views on the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) are well known. It is a biased organisation with a political agenda. It continues to misrepresent facts and peddles a motivated narrative about India. We reject this malicious report, which only serves to discredit USCIRF further,” Jaiswal said.

He further urged the USCIRF to focus on addressing domestic human rights issues in the United States, rather than engaging in what he termed “agenda-driven efforts.”
