India no longer silent after terror attacks: PM

New Delhi, Oct 18: At the NDTV World Summit 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that India today responds to terrorism with strength and precision.

“Gone are the days when India stayed silent after attacks,” he said, citing surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor as examples of the nation’s new resolve. Modi said this transformation reflects India’s growing confidence as an Atmanirbhar Bharat—self-reliant and decisive in defending its sovereignty.

He added that India’s security posture mirrors its economic rise, proving that “a confident nation not only builds but also protects its progress.”
