India hosts BIMSTEC delegation at annual national cancer grid meet
New Delhi, Aug 6: India hosted senior oncologists, researchers, patient advocates, and health policymakers from BIMSTEC nations at the annual meeting of the National Cancer Grid (NCG), held at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai on August 2–3, 2025.
The event followed through on India’s commitment made during the 6th BIMSTEC Summit to support regional partners in strengthening cancer care.
Delegates from across the Bay of Bengal region joined Indian experts to review the progress of collaborative efforts and explore new areas of cooperation.
The meeting highlighted NCG’s expanding initiatives, including training, research collaboration, and capacity-building. The engagement is expected to further empower BIMSTEC countries by leveraging India’s experience in delivering affordable and quality cancer care.
