Areas of potential collaboration included maritime domain awareness, sustainable marine economy development, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, naval cooperation and improved maritime connectivity, with an emphasis on expanding ties in the shipping sector.

Both sides expressed their commitment to deepen engagement across the maritime domain and agreed to hold the next round of talks in New Delhi at a mutually convenient date, once the agreed deliverables from this first meeting are achieved.
