New Delhi, March 22: The Eighth India-EU Cyber Dialogue took place on March 20, 2025, in New Delhi, bringing together top officials from both sides to discuss cybersecurity, digital policies, and emerging technologies.
The Indian delegation was led by Amit Shukla, Joint Secretary of the Cyber Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs.
The EU delegation was co-chaired by Maciej Stadejek, Director for Security and Defence Policy at the European External Action Service (EEAS), and Christiane Kirketerp de Viron, Director-General for Communications Networks, Content, and Technology. The meeting included representatives from key Indian ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Telecom, CERT-In, and the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center (NCIIPC). The EU side was represented by officials from the EEAS and the EU Delegation to India.
Both sides reviewed the cyber threat landscape and shared updates on cyber policies and security measures, discussed protection of critical information infrastructure and ways to strengthen cybersecurity cooperation, explored joint efforts in multilateral forums for ICT security and talked about 6G standardisation, telecom security standards, and capacity-building programs.
