India donates 81 school buses to educational institutions across Nepal
New Delhi, Oct 22: The Government of India has donated 81 school buses to educational institutions across 48 districts of Nepal, including disaster-affected areas such as Ilam, Jhapa, and Udayapur in Koshi Province, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu announced on Wednesday, reports Nepal media.
The donation also extends to several remote districts, including Humla, Mustang, Sankhuwasabha, Darchula, Baitadi, and Achham, reflecting India’s continued commitment to supporting education and connectivity in hard-to-reach regions.
The newspaper, quoting the embassy, said the initiative underscores the long-standing development partnership and close friendship between India and Nepal. Over the past three decades, India has provided a total of 381 school buses to educational institutions across the country under various community development programmes.
