New Delhi, Nov 14: India completed its 2025 edition of the Tri-Services Exercise, ‘Trishul’, a large-scale joint drill led by the Indian Navy with participation from the Army and Air Force in early November.

The Western Naval Command, the Army’s Southern Command and the Air Force’s South Western Air Command served as the principal formations for the exercise, which unfolded across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat as well as the North Arabian Sea.

Amphibious manoeuvres, maritime operations and joint drills in varied terrain formed key components of the training.

The Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force and several central agencies also took part, strengthening inter-agency coordination and integrated responses. The exercise focused on sharpening synergy among the three services and validating multi-domain operational procedures. It aimed to boost interoperability of platforms, improve networked integration and advance joint planning. The drill also tested combined Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance processes along with joint electronic and cyber warfare plans. Naval carrier operations were conducted alongside shore-based Air Force assets to refine common air operations protocols. Trishul also showcased the growing role of indigenous defence systems and aligned with the wider objectives of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Officials said the exercise helped refine techniques to counter emerging threats and adapt to the evolving character of modern warfare. The successful conduct of TSE-2025 reinforced the armed forces’ commitment to fully integrated operations and strengthened India’s overall joint operational readiness.
