New Delhi, July 24: In a statement delivered during the UNSC Quarterly Open Debate on the situation in the Middle East, India asserted that a ceasefire must be put in place and all hostages must be released.

Speaking at the debate on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, noted that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable paths to achieving these objectives.
