"Chancellor Nehammer and I have discussed in detail the ongoing conflicts around the world, whether it is the conflict in Ukraine or the situation in West Asia. I have said before that this is not a time for war. Problems cannot be solved on the battlefield. The loss of innocent lives, anywhere, is unacceptable," Modi remarked.

During a subsequent press briefing, the Foreign Secretary reiterated India's consistent and clear stance on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, stating, "This is not an era of war." He outlined three key points conveyed in discussions by the Prime Minister: first, that this is not the time for war; second, that the solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict cannot be found on the battlefield; and third, that the loss of innocent lives, particularly those of children, is unacceptable.
