Independence Day celebrations held at Srinagar International Airport
Srinagar, Aug 15: Srinagar International Airport on Thursday held Independence Day celebrations. Director Airport Javed Anjum who was chief guest at the occasion unfurled the flag followed by Guard of Honour jointly by CISF and CRPF.
He was accompanied by Rubana Aslam, President Kalyanmaye; Vishnu Dwivedi, Commandant, CRPF; A.P. Singh, CASO, CISF and Rupesh Kumar, RD BCAS.
In his address he gave an insight about the various initiatives like procurement of new gold carts, expansion of Srinagar International Airport, addition of new F&B counters etc. at airport. He appreciated the efforts of security forces by honouring them for their contribution in aviation security.
The Chief Guest focused on the importance of "Coordination, Cooperation and Dedication" among the employees to strengthening an organization. Several cultural programmes were held at the occasion.
Appreciation letter for meritorious services have been awarded to the employees of all security forces, airlines, oil agencies, Airport health services, Airports authority of India, etc.
