Independence Day celebrated with patriotic spirit at Soil Conservation Office Budgam

Budgam, Aug 15: Independence Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the District Soil Conservation Office, Budgam. The event saw the active participation of District Soil Conservation Officer Budgam, Reyaaz Ahmad Malik, and Zonal Soil Conservation Officer Budgam, Ihsan-ul-Haq Zargar, along with other officials from the headquarters.

The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by Reyaaz Ahmad Malik, followed by the singing of the national anthem, which filled the atmosphere with unity and national pride. Participants recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters and pledged to uphold the values of the Constitution while contributing to the nation’s progress.

Addressing the gathering, Ihsan-ul-Haq Zargar emphasised the importance of protecting natural resources and strengthening environmental conservation efforts in the region. The programme concluded on a note of solidarity, reaffirming the department’s commitment to the twin goals of national service and sustainable development.
