Incomplete restoration of statehood not acceptable: Tariq Hameed Karra
Rajouri, Nov 26: J&K Pradesh Congress (JKPCC) President, Tariq Hameed Karra, today said that incomplete restoration of statehood is not acceptable at all to the people of J&K.
He has called for immediate complete restoration of statehood. He suspected partial restoration of statehood with some amended decisions that include keeping some powers with union govt.
“We want complete statehood restoration and not partial or amended form,” Karra said while talking to media persons during his visit in Rajouri. Congress organised a constitution day convention here.
“Congress party has demanded immediate statehood restoration and I want to make it clear that we want complete statehood restoration,” said Karra.
He alleged that some people in Union Government are trying to go for incomplete statehood restoration and not allocating powers of some vital departments and this statehood restoration will not be in original position, JKPCC President said.
He indicated towards some apprehensions that powers of some vital departments will be kept with central government only. Regarding demand of restoration of Article 370, he said that a resolution was passed by Congress party on August 6 in 2019 in which it (party) took its stand and entire party unit still stands on that resolution only.
