Srinagar, Jun 28: Hamdan Hurricanes Cricket Club pulled off a five-wicket win over Royal Goodwill in a closely fought Kashmir Cup 2025 league match at TRC Ground on Saturday, with skipper Parvez Rasool leading from the front with a four-wicket haul and Imtiyaz Lefty anchoring the chase with a fluent 49.

Chasing a target of 135, the Hurricanes, as per the statement, reached 135/5 in 19.5 overs, with 49 off 36 balls by Imtiyaz Lefty and a composed unbeaten 39 off 47 balls by Tajamul Baba. Zahid also chipped in with a handy 22 off 18 balls. The chase, though steady, saw a few hiccups, especially after three quick wickets in the middle overs, including the prized scalp of captain Parvez Rasool, who fell for a duck.

Earlier, Royal Goodwill Cricket Club posted 134 all out in the allotted 20 overs, with Nasir Bashir Kumar playing a standout knock of 44 off just 20 balls, hitting 4 sixes and 3 boundaries. However, their innings was derailed by the brilliance of Parvez Rasool, who took 4 wickets for 28 runs, and Zeeshan Zahoor, who returned economical figures of 3 for 15 in his four overs.
