Poonch, Oct 1: In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare facilities in the region, a new colour Doppler ultrasound machine costing Rs 42.99 lakh has been installed at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Mandi.

The facility was inaugurated by MLA Poonch Haveli, Ajaz Ahmad Jan, in the presence of DDC Member Mandi, Attiqa Jan and Chief Medical Officer, Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Ahmad Khan on Wednesday.

“This modern diagnostic equipment will greatly benefit the people of Mandi and adjoining areas, providing advanced ultrasound and Doppler services at their doorstep. The machine will reduce the need for patients to travel long distances for specialized diagnostic tests, ensuring timely and accurate treatment,” MLA stated, while speaking on the occasion.
