The party candidate for Kupwara assembly constituency Fayaz Ahmad Mir also attended the road show. Later. Talking to media persons she alleged that National Conference (NC) was responsible for miseries of people for last 70 years. “People of Kupwara have been rendering their support to National Conference for last 70 years but they have got nothing in return instead were entangled with gloom and despair. People will never forget the invention of Taskforce, Ikhwan and POTA by NC government. It was (PDP which brought an end to all wrong doings of NC,” the PDP leader said.

Iltija said that people of Jammu and Kashmir had a spiritual relation with Article 370 and 35- A and that she will continuously raise her voice against the August 5, 2019 decisions. “If elected, I will certainly raise voice in assembly against this undemocratic step taken by central government,” she said.

The PDP leader alleged that after the abrogation of Article 370 the NC  leaders did not  raise their voice against the decision. “But I and Mehbooba (Mufti) Ji  continuously have been raising our voices in support of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh’s special status,” she added.

To the allegation by NC that PDP has provided platform to BJP in Kashmir, Iltija said that NC should first reply about the accession and later their change of  mind. “They should answer about 1987 election rigging and then seek accountability from us,” she said. About Er Rashid, she said that he should be granted permanent bail along with other inmates. She welcomed the decision of  ex- members of banned Jamaat-e- Islami (JeI)  of contesting assembly election. Iltija appealed people of Kupwara to vote in favour of PDP’s candidate.
