IIIM launches Agarbatti production unit

Jammu, Oct 28: The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, inaugurated a new Agarbatti Production Unit under the CSIR Aroma Mission’s Value Addition Vertical. The facility aims to produce high-quality aromatic products, supporting local farmers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), women, youth, and emerging startups.

Inaugurated by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director of CSIR-IIIM, the unit underscores IIIM’s commitment to fostering economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir through sustainable business and agro-technological innovation.

The Agarbatti unit will create value-added incense products using locally sourced aromatic plants, enhancing income opportunities for the community.
