IGP Jammu reviews security scenario in Doda

Jammu, Nov 18: Inspector General of Police Jammu zone Anand Jain Saturday visited Headquarters Delta Force Dharmund, Batote and discussed the security scenario of the area and highway security measures with the Core Commander, GOC and other army officers.

His visit was part of his tour to different districts to assess the security; crime; law and order situations.

On the way to Doda, he visited the accident site at Assar to take stock of the situation in the area.

He also chaired an officers meeting at District Police Lines Doda to review the security crime situation in the district. IGP also had an interaction with the civil society members besides he enquired about the condition of the injured admitted in GMC Doda Hospital.

A police spokesperson said that the IGP Jammu, who was on a day long visit to Doda, accompanied by DIG DKR Dr Sunil Gupta, first in the morning visited Delta Force Headquarters at Dharmund, where he discussed the security scenario of the area and highway security measures. The GOC briefed the IGP regarding the functions of the counter terrorism grid in Doda, Kishtwar and in Ramban areas.
