IGP Jammu calls for coordinated efforts to uproot narco-terrorism
Rajouri, Nov 8: Inspector General of Police in Jammu zone, Anand Jain on Wednesday paid maiden visit to Rajouri district where he held a high level security review of Rajouri and Poonch districts.
The police officer called for enhanced synergy and coordinated efforts to uproot narco- terrorism. Upon arrival in Rajouri on Wednesday morning, IGP Jammu Anand Jain was received by DIG Rajouri Poonch range, Dr Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh and SSP Poonch Vinay K Sharma.
He was given a guard of honour at DPL Rajouri on his arrival. Jain reviewed the crime position and over all functioning of District Police Rajouri. He laid focus on eradication of narco- terrorism from the area and underlined need to put in more efforts for this.
Police officially informed that IGP Jammu directed the officers to work with enhanced synergy and coordinated efforts to uproot the narco-terrorism in the range. “ He also reviewed crime position and overall functioning of police with all supervisory officers including SHOs, investigating officers during meeting at District Police Lines Rajouri,” police said. During this, police said, IGP Jammu interacting with police officers and personnel reviewed the disposal of cases registered during the current year and previous pendency was reviewed and instructions were issued.
The Investigating Officers and Supervisory Officers were given detailed instructions by him to improve the quality of investigation to ensure effective Parvy and prosecution cases, police said in its official press statement issued from Zonal office. IGP Jammu also directed the officers to augment measures for improving capability of personnel in dealing with narco cases and UAPA cases.
