The team conducted inspections of Term-End Examinations for June 2025, held induction and orientation sessions, and provided pre-admission counselling to prospective students. They also engaged with stakeholders including the University of Ladakh, local administration, defence personnel, and members of the public to explore collaborative opportunities.

Significantly, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ladakh agreed in principle to collaborate with IGNOU for the introduction of M.Sc. and agriculture-based programmes in the region.

Dr Abdullah gave an overview of IGNOU’s national and international academic presence, highlighting key digital platforms such as eGyanKosh, the IGNOU e-Content App, and the Samarth Portal. Students were briefed on academic processes including assignment submissions, re-registration, exams, and grievance redressal.

Interactive sessions also addressed programme selection, credit transfers, degree recognition, availability of counselling classes, and scholarship opportunities, aiming to support informed academic decisions among learners in Ladakh.
