IED fixed inside cellphone box recovered in J&K's Rajouri; destroyed
Rajouri, April 13: J&K police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) wing along with Rajouri police said they recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that was fit in a cellphone box from Draj village of Budhal in Rajouri on Saturday.
The IED as per the police has been destroyed by the Bombs Disposal Squad.
The recovery as per the officials has been made while they investigated a case registered at CID CI Jammu Police Station. The case was registered after recent raids in Rajouri district where several arrests were made including the wife of incarcerated terrorist commander Talib Hussain Shah. Talib's brither in-law was also arrested.
The leads were generated during the investigation of the case at Joint Interrogation Center, Jammu, following which a team of CID CI Jammu assisted by SoG Rajouri carried out an operation in Draj reached of Budhal in Rajouri, said the officials.
The recovered IED, they said, weighed around 650 to 700 grams.
