IEC campaign against drug abuse intensified in Bandipora

Bandipora, Jun 16: In line with the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan and on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, district administration Bandipora on Monday launched an intensive Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign across multiple panchayats of the district to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society.

The campaign witnessed active participation from local communities, youth, and various departments, with resource persons delivering sessions on the devastating impacts of substance abuse on individuals, families, and society.

The resource persons emphasised the importance of a multi-dimensional approach involving prevention, awareness, rehabilitation, and enforcement to effectively tackle the menace of drugs.

The officers and experts from concerned departments highlighted the critical role of community participation and youth engagement in eradicating the threat of drug addiction.
