ICFRE accredits SKUAST-K Faculty of Forestry as grade A++ institution
Srinagar, July 27: The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun, has accredited the Faculty of Forestry at the Benhama-Watlar Campus, Ganderbal, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) as Grade A++ for the next 5 years, effective from July 26.
This accolade marks a significant achievement for the University and particularly for the Faculty of Forestry.
Dean Professor Sajad Ahmad Gangoo expressed his pride in a message to faculty members, attributing this honor to their unwavering commitment, dedication, and sincerity towards their duties. The university's Vice-Chancellor, along with Directors, Deans, and all faculty members, extended their congratulations to the Faculty of Forestry for this accomplishment.
In a joint statement from all department heads, faculty, and non-teaching staff, they affirmed their commitment to their cause and goals. They highlighted their success in sending students to prestigious positions such as the Indian Forest Service (IFS), Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS), KPS, ACF, Range Officers, and Bank Probationary Officers. The faculty now also attracts international students and is dedicated to achieving the highest global standards.
"This vision, driven by Vice-Chancellor Prof.Nazir Ahmad Ganai, aims for the university to attain the number one global ranking. Faculty members expressed confidence that this goal is within reach in the near future," a statement said.
