ICAI J&K branch marks 77th CA Day

Jammu, July 7: The Jammu & Kashmir Branch of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated the 77th Chartered Accountants Day with enthusiasm and grandeur at Royal Park, Greater Kailash, Jammu.

According to a statement issued by the branch, the event began with a seminar on Financial Reporting Practices, held under the aegis of the Financial Reporting Review Board of ICAI. The session brought together professionals to discuss the evolving dynamics of financial reporting and the crucial role of Chartered Accountants in upholding transparency and accountability.

Chairman of the J&K Branch, Sourav Pargal, welcomed members with an address that paid tribute to ICAI’s legacy and the contributions of CAs across the region. He extended congratulations to the newly qualified Chartered Accountants and lauded the support of their families, calling them the unsung heroes behind their success.

Guest speakers for the seminar included Suhel Gupta, Shivang Sharma, and Anmol Gupta, who offered insights into the working of the Financial Reporting Review Board and discussed frequent non-compliances under Accounting Standards, Schedule III, Standards on Auditing, the Companies Act, and CARO provisions.
