ICAI J&K branch delegation meets Income Tax Commissioner to discuss key taxation issues

Jammu, May 23: A delegation from the Jammu & Kashmir Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), led by Chairman CA Sourav Pargal, Vice Chairman CA Amit Gupta, and Executive Member CA Ayush Sawhney, met with Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan, Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), to discuss several key taxation concerns affecting taxpayers and professionals in the region.

The discussion focused on expediting the disposal of pending income tax appeals, timely implementation of appeal effects, and addressing challenges in the Faceless Assessment system. The ICAI representatives highlighted the need for enhanced collaboration between the tax department and the CA community to ensure a more efficient and taxpayer-friendly ecosystem.

The delegation assured the Commissioner of the CA fraternity’s full support in promoting fair compliance with tax laws and raising awareness about accurate and timely tax filing.
