IBC organises webinar on energy efficient buildings for J&K’s cold climatic conditions
Srinagar, Apr 5: Indian Buildings Congress (J&K Chapter) held an online webinar on energy-efficient buildings in cold climatic conditions of Jammu and Kashmir under Chairman Indian Buildings Congress (J&K Chapter), Aamir Ali.
Former Secretary Technical Power Development Department, Bashir Ahmed Dar gave a detailed presentation on how to make the buildings energy efficient.
Another speaker, Head Systems Engineer in Qatar Energy and founder and Managing Partner of JK Green Technology, Suhail Qadir spoke about mechanical HRV and IAQ, occupant health and comfort in a net-zero passive building and solar water heaters and how solar power can be harnessed.
The webinar was attended by participants, from all over India.
Prominent participants included staff and students from SSM College of Engineering, Parihaspora, staff and students from various government polytechnics and ITIs, students from National Institute of Technology, Hazratbal, Srinagar, engineers from Public Works Department, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, JKCEGA, Indian Railways, Executive Engineers, and AEEs from Rural Engineering Wing from Kashmir and Jammu, Project Manager Building Centre Srinagar, and members of Indian Buildings Congress.
The speakers also responded to various questions raised by the participants.
