Huge quantity of country-made liquor seized in south Kashmir's Anantnag, says police
Srinagar, Aug 10: Police on Saturday said that it arrested eight persons involved in the illegal trade of making and supplying country-made liquor in huge quantities in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.
Taking to its official X-handle, Anantnag police said that it also confiscated Rs 13,600 and has also filed a case with investigations taken up.
Although the police said that it had seized a huge quantity, it didn't specify the actual quantity of the liquor seized.
The identity of arrested persons was not shared.
"Safeguarding society from illegal liquor trade! Anantnag Police seizes a large quantity of country-made liquor, arrests 8, and confiscates ₹13,600. Case filed, investigation ongoing," police wrote.
