Srinagar, Jun 4: To strengthen critical care facilities, the Help Poor Voluntary Trust (HPVT) on Tuesday donated three advanced Horizon Eco patient monitoring systems to the Neurosurgery ward of SMHS Hospital, Srinagar.

The equipment, capable of monitoring vital signs including heart rate, SpO₂, non-invasive blood pressure, respiration rate, and temperature, will bolster patient care and monitoring in the high-dependency unit.

The brief donation ceremony was attended by Dr Andleep Bashir, Medical Superintendent SMHS; Dr Nowsheen, Deputy Medical Superintendent; Dr Shafiq Alarm, Head of the Neurosurgery Department; and representatives from HPVT.

The Horizon Eco monitors, known for their data storage and compatibility with defibrillators, pacemakers, and electro surgical units, are expected to enhance the ward's operational efficiency.
