Sajjad Shaheen demands compensation for windstorm affected people

Banihal, Mar 2: National Conference (NC) leader and District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen today demanded compensation for the  people, whose residential houses and orchards  were  damaged due to windstorm and heavy rainfall in Banihal  and Gool.

In a statement Shaheen said that the losses faced by the people are massive and Pogal-Paristan, Kunda, Narad, Maligam, Neel, Mahu-Mangit Banihal ,Khari, Kutji, Trigam, Amkote ,Thachi, Hainjhal, Duligam, Tethar ,Nowgam,Lamber, Asshar, Kaskut, Phagow, chanjlu ,Chaknarwa ,Chamalwas, Sarachi and other areas including the Gool-Sangaldan, Ramban and Batote areas of Ramban district remained the worst affected area wherein the damage caused to the residential houses are dozens in number.

He added that in Narad hamlet in Maligam alone, five houses belonging to members of the ST Community have been severely impacted by the destructive forces of the wind storm and heavy rainfall.
