House gutted in Rajouri fire

Rajouri, Mar 13: A kutcha house located in Fatehpur Gurian village near Rajouri town gutted in an incident of fire this evening.

The house located in village caught fire and flames engulfed the structure within minutes, locals said

A fire fighting operation was launched by Fire and Emergency services but it could not turn successful as the house was away from road link and fire tender could not reach there.

Locals carried out the fire fighting operation and made attempts to save the house. But it got damaged in the incident while household items kept inside it were reduced to ashes.

The house belonged to Farooq Ahmed son of Ghulam Hussain resident of Fatehpur Gurian.

"We responded quickly to the call and fire tender reached the village but it could not be put to use as fire site was away from road," the officials of fire and emergency services informed.
