House gutted in Mendhar fire

Rajouri, Dec 25: A residential house belonging to a retired government employee was gutted in a fire incident at Gursai village of Mendhar sub division in Poonch this morning.

Locals said that they made all possible efforts to control the flames. The fire tenders also reached the spot. But the house was completely damaged.

It was owned by Shabir Hussain Shah who is a retired government employee.

Tehsildar Mendhar Rohit Baskotra said that the family has suffered a major loss in the incident and the field staff has been asked to prepare a case of compensation under the law of land.

He said, “Fortunately no loss of life happened in the incident.”
