Hope PM greets J&K people: Sheikh Khursheed

Srinagar, Jan 21: Senior AIP leader and MLA Langate, Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad, has hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi  would also geet soon the people of Jammu and Kashmir on statehood.

Quoting the Prime Minister’s tweet praising Manipur’s contribution to India’s development, Sheikh Khursheed posted on X, “Hope @narendramodi ji greets people of J&K soon.”

According to a press release, MLA’s demand highlights the growing sentiment among the people of J&K for equal acknowledgment and respect. Sheikh Khursheed emphasised that the restoration of statehood remains a pressing demand and that a gesture from the Prime Minister would reflect inclusivity and goodwill toward the region.

“The people of J&K deserve the same recognition and respect as other states in the Union. Extending greetings would be a significant step toward acknowledging their sentiments,” Sheikh Khursheed stated.
