Hope Er Rashid will be allowed to take oath: AIP
Srinagar, June 8: Leaders of Awami Itihad Party (AIP) led jailed Er Rashid, are hopeful that he will be allowed to take his oath of office soon as crucial bail hearing scheduled for June 18, his advocates have been advised to submit an urgent application to expedite the process.
“We hope that Er Rashid will be allowed to take his oath,” said AIP spokesperson here . “The hearing date for bail is set for June 18, but we have been told to move an urgent application to facilitate a quicker decision.”
The spokesperson expressed gratitude to the people for their steadfast support during this challenging period. “We are thankful to people for their unwavering support. The J&K political parties must not underestimate us now. We did know people will support us like this, but the extent of their loyalty has been truly overwhelming.”
Er Rashid, who has been vocal in advocating for the rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, continues to engage with his supporters despite his incarceration. “He is not allowed to talk from jail, and we are taking every step legally to ensure his voice continues to be heard,” the spokesperson added.
The upcoming bail hearing on June 18 is a critical juncture for Er Rashid and his supporters. Many believe that allowing him to take his oath and actively participate in the political process will not only reaffirm democratic principles but also ensure that the voices of his supporters are adequately represented.
