Home voting commencing from today in Kupwara

Kupwara, May 13

Frontier Kupwara district, which is part of 1- Baramulla Parliamentary constituency, is set to extend ‘home-voting’ facility for voters aged 85-years plus and PwD (specially abled /Divyanjans) tomorrow.

A total of 402 registered elderly and PwD electors of the district with over 40 percent locomotive disabilities from across all the six assembly segments of the district are exercising their right to vote from their homes through first of its kind ‘home-voting’ facility.

It is important to mention here that District Kupwara is going for polls on May 20 during the 5th phase of Lok Sabha Elections-2024.

Under 'home voting' facility, which is a pathbreaking initiative of ECI, poll parties along with necessary materials shall be dispatched to the houses of eligible voters.
