Home Minister Amit Shah to launch book on Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh’s history

New Delhi, Jan 01: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will preside over the release of a book titled 'Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh: Through the Ages' on January 2, 2025, in New Delhi, an official handout read today.

Shah will attend the event as the Chief Guest, while Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be the Guest of Honour, according to a press release from the Ministry of Education.

The book, published in Hindi and English, explores over 3,000 years of the history of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. It is divided into seven sections, offering insights for both specialists and general readers. The publication includes carefully selected illustrations that represent significant eras and contributions to Indian history.

This work is a collaborative effort by the National Book Trust, India, and the Indian Council of Historical Research. Eminent authors, academicians, ministry officials, and other dignitaries are expected to attend the event.
