HoD Surgery at GMC Srinagar elected North Zone Vice President of SELSI

Srinagar, Oct 21: Prof  Iqbal Saleem Mir, Head of the Department of Surgery at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, has been elected Vice-President (North Zone) of the Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India (SELSI).

The election took place during the recently held conference at AIIMS, Delhi Prof Dr. Varindet Kumar Bansal, Professor of Surgery at AIIMS, proposed Prof Dr. Iqbal Saleem Mir’s name, which was unanimously seconded by the SELSI governing body.

This  position recognises Prof Saleem’s outstanding contributions to the field of surgery, particularly in endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery.

As Vice-President (North Zone), Prof Saleem will play a key role in promoting and advancing minimally invasive surgery techniques in the region.

The medical community congratulated Prof Saleem on this achievement, acknowledging his dedication to surgical excellence and leadership.
